    Real simple.

This is your neighborhood pizza joint.

It probably has t been upgraded since it opened but they don't need to.

I stumbled upon this place because it was late and I just wanted something quick.

They provided a delicious and greasy slice of plain pizza for $2.

With how the neighborhood is moving they could easily charge more but they don't.

The staff is friendly and helpful.

Whom I can only assume is the owner/operator/pizza man is quick to help and make sure you have everything you need before you leave.

Just placed an order for pickup here. It's my first time ordering from George's and I got a cheesesteak with fried onions. The food was ready by the time I walked over and at 7 bucks I got a pretty good deal. The reason for only 3 stars is because I feel they skimped on the meat. The sandwich was very bread-heavy but still good. Ill probably order from here again.

You'd think that a place that is always so busy would actually provide good food.  Nope, not the case here.

I tried a slice of plain pizza and it was decent, but it is not a pleasant place to stay and eat in.  I gave them another chance and ordered a delivery from Grubhub for a location maybe 3 blocks away.  IT TOOK AN HOUR AND A HALF PAST MY DELIVERY ESTIMATE TO ARRIVE, only to deliver fries made with over-used fryer oil and a rancid tasting salad.

One of the best arts of this neighborhood is the small businesses and their foods, but this place is an exception.  I won't ever be returning.

I have cheesesteak envy!! @diningonadime posted a picture of a George's cheesesteak and their's was much bigger than mine!! At $8 in Philly I am not going to complain (much). 2 of my favorite things that don't necessarily need to go together, corropolese roll and a toasted roll. Corropolese rolls stand on their own but it is George's pizza and not Jim's. Very good roll, with or without the toasting. The meat had a good flavor. Very good amount of cheese and the cheese was melted very nicely. Overall, The cheesesteak needed more of everything but if you are in the city and only have $8 in your pocket, have I got a (good) cheesesteak for you!!

Even though I have lived in this neighborhood for years, I had never tried their food. I ride past their actual store maybe twice a week but it always looked like the store was empty so I just rode past.

Well a couple of months ago, I found one of their menus on the table and this time I really looked at it. The prices on the food items I liked were very reasonable, but that still didn't mean the food was good.

Took a chance and ordered from the everyday specials and let me say, the pizza was good. It was fresh and you could tell that it was just made, not just sitting in the oven until someone ordered. And it had a nice thick chewy crust!!!  And the hot wings were delicious too and they were not little pigeon wings either.

The food arrived hot and still steaming. Even their delivery guy was pleasant.

Since that first delivery maybe 7 months ago, I have ordered from them maybe once a month since then without any problems. They have become my go to spot and that's saying a lot because I live two blocks from Temple's main campus and I get A LOT of menus.

It took me a while to post because I like to rate overall service over time and they have consistently been very good.

Only issue, they should install two lines for customer service because they do get busy and then you have to keep calling to place your order.
